Organic farming is a methodology that emphasizes sustainability, environmental conservation, and the well-being of agricultural ecosystems. This practical curriculum is intended for third-year undergraduate students in agroecology to provide them with fundamental skills for adopting organic agricultural methods.
In this module, students will examine several facets of organic farming, including the comparison of artificial and natural fertilizers, techniques of plant cultivation, and the creation and use of compost. Students will get the chance to analyze biological pest management approaches, emphasizing their efficacy and environmental consequences in comparison to chemical pesticides.
The practical workshops will provide a framework for obtaining technical skills and fostering a critical knowledge of the challenges related to organic agriculture. This program seeks to enhance students' academic understanding while cultivating their dedication to sustainable and ethical farming practices.
