The curriculum progresses methodically, starting with a foundational understanding of veterinary medical terminology, describe anatomical features using standardized directional language, and identify body regions specific to major domestic species encountered in veterinary practice. The course then advances to more sophisticated forms of scientific communication, where students engage with authentic research articles, hone their oral presentation capabilities, interpret data and statistical language, and practice writing in accordance with the conventions of academic scientific English.
The course expects students to enter with a general secondary-school-level understanding of English, without prior knowledge of specialized scientific or veterinary vocabulary. The curriculum is deliberately structured to facilitate the gradual development of domain-specific language skills from the ground up, allowing all students, irrespective of their previous exposure to English within scientific contexts, to learn and advance at a supportive pace.

Physiology of Animals
Physiology is the dynamic study of normal functions in a living system. It answers how the cells, organs, organ systems work and how it is integrated at the organism level. it is the unit of biology and zoology, covering a range of subjects, including organs, morphology, cells, and biological compounds. Studying physiology has enormous practical applications.

ANATOMY
Anatomy is a branch of biology concerned with the study of form and structure of organisms and their parts. When it is concerned with the structure of animals, it becomes Anatomy of Animals or Veterinary Anatomy. The comparative description of the form and structure of the body parts in different species of animals comprises the Comparative Anatomy. Originally the word anatomy has been derived from a Greek word meaning as ‘’cut open’ or dissection. The dissection of animal body provides the means of describing the appearance and position, form, size, shape, colour, and texture of different parts of the body and their structures and the systematic description arising out of this, constitutes the systematic or descriptive anatomy.
